The Castlevania: Belmont's Curse map is available through MapGenie's Streets of Paris map and Gamer Guides' Paris map. Gamer Guides includes search, category filters, and markers for castle areas such as the Main Hall and Clock Tower, making it useful when your search extends beyond the streets.

Choose a map for your destination

These external map pages offer different ways to locate routes, landmarks, and collectibles:

IGN also lists a Streets of Paris map. MapGenie and IGN use that name, while Gamer Guides labels its page Paris and includes markers associated with several castle areas. Check the displayed locations rather than assuming the page names describe identical coverage.

Gamer Guides marks its maps as a work in progress. Treat its displayed totals as counts in that map database, rather than guaranteed final totals for the game.

Find routes and hidden areas

On Gamer Guides, start with Hide All, then enable the categories relevant to your destination. Its filters include Point of Interest, Exploration, Navigation, and Equipment. Use the floor control when checking locations on different levels, and enable labels if you need names alongside markers.

For a focused exploration pass:

  • Check objective markers when looking for a named destination.
  • Use Mirror of Life and Ferryman's Wharf markers as landmarks.
  • Compare nearby area-transition labels before searching a different region.
  • Keep notes on locations you have identified but have not reached.

Atma distinguishes Blocking Door, Sub-Area Door, Secret Zone, and Destructible Ground markers. These labels help explain what to inspect at a location, but a marker alone does not establish the requirement for opening a particular obstruction.

Inside the Main Hall, environmental clues also help. According to Rock Paper Shotgun's Main Hall walkthrough, Alucard portraits point toward secrets with their swords. Follow that general direction when checking for hidden routes, rooms, or items.

The same walkthrough describes floating mirrors that launch Rose in a chosen direction. Near the entrance, one lets her reach a wall lever that opens a floor passage. It also notes that some Main Hall secrets cannot be reached during the first visit, so leave unresolved locations on your revisit list.

Reach 100% map completion

Map exploration and collectible completion are separate goals. The 100% map-completion video explains that the map percentage measures explored space. Chests and experience idols do not contribute directly to that percentage.

The video also highlights an easy mistake: obtaining an item does not necessarily register the space where it was located. Rose still needs to physically visit that part of the map.

When checking for missing exploration:

  1. Compare your explored map with the external map for overlooked spaces.
  2. Recheck side rooms, secret zones, and passages you previously left unresolved.
  3. Move into the actual location of an already collected item if that space remains unexplored.
  4. Track remaining collectibles separately using a checklist.

For that separate collection pass, MapGenie's checklist provides a companion resource. Use the exploration percentage to assess visited space and the checklist to track outstanding pickups.
